The Benefits of Dance

People now lead their lives under constant work pressure and tensions from family, friends and the world.  We have to meet deadlines, this makes us forgetful.  Our stress-filled lives can be reason of poor health.  We need healthy exercise, but only few forms of exercise also help us to be cheerful and happy.  One such form, which helps us to be happy, cheerful and healthy is dance.

Dance brightens our monotonous lives.  Moderate exercise can really benefit people in our physical health, our emotional health and our mental energy.  When someone chooses to start a form of exercising they rarely consider the fun level it includes.  But without fun, exercise becomes a task and is quickly abandoned.  Dance is exercise for life.

Dancing can be enjoyed by everyone.  Notice people while they are dancing.  Notice the big smile.  Smiling and laughing while dancing is absolutely natural.  There is no age barrier in dancing unlike other forms of exercise.  A person of any age can dance and enjoy its health benefits.

At Pearl Ballroom, we primarily do ballroom although you will find plenty of swing and Latin music if you prefer Salsa or West Coast Swing.  Requests for specific music are welcome.  Our studio is also available for other styles if you are a professional looking for a place to teach Salsa or exercise dance such as Zumba.
